Passage

A brick-lined alley. A mosaic of crumbled asphalt. A windowless stretch, inviting the crossing of a threshold. Entry points all, from a place of compression to expansion, and finally, illumination. Where a profusion of richly saturated color, rendered in silk, pirouettes across a field of wool. Passage, indeed.

Beck

Incorporating a bounty of graduated shading, Beck summons notions of ombre. And yet, plumbs more deeply, more richly, and more striated than even the intensifying hues we witnessed as beach stretched toward horizon on a waterside vacation. It was those lights and darks that got us thinking: how could we amplify the color play in rug form? The answer: Beck.

Tellen

Sinuous repetition yields dramatic – yet eminently versatile – interest as a line of silk snakes across a field of oxidized wool. The result? An ordered presentation of curves at once geometric and organic.

Iconic Ikat

Found in myriad cultures on each of the worlds continents, the Ikat is at once exotic and familiar. Though primitively drawn, this rugs sublime color balance, subtle symmetry, and surprisingly elegant lines result in a casually sophisticated objet. In honor of its artisanal heritage, the Iconic Ikat is crafted of loosely woven, hand-carded, and hand-spun wool.

Michi

“Flaneurs” are those who wander without purpose or destination through the cobblestone streets of Paris solely to take pleasure in the sights and sounds of the City of Light. We count ourselves lucky, from time to time, to be among them – as we were recently, when we couldn’t help but notice an abundance of clothing reminiscent of Coco Chanel’s famed boucle fabrics. Their memory inspired Michi – as classic as Chanel herself.

Rill

Like so many of our designs, Rill takes inspiration from the wonders of nature. Specifically, the shallow channels carved into soil as water flows over its surface – a phenomenon we witnessed with fascination during a sudden downpour during a London garden tour. Without an umbrella – and almost without thought – we found ourselves entranced by the impacts of the droplets. And just like that, Rill took shape in our imagination.

Parterre

A solid, yes. Yet unexpectedly nuanced. Textured Soumak-style depth and dimension – courtesy of loop-stitched flatwoven surface embellishment – and heathered yarns make it so. SHIIR makes it distinctive.

Maroc

Longer-haired, lighter in color, and more brazenly luxurious than anything the imagination might immediately conjure, Maroc interprets the faded, always ageless beauty of an antique Moroccan rug in singularly sensual style.

Onyx

Inspired by naturally occurring geological patterns. Eroded by waves. Shifted by winds. Layered by time.
